14 Dec 2024 — Camp Workcoeman has a variety of programs taking place this winter and spring for both Scouts BSA and Cub Scouts. In addition, training opportunities and campsite/facility rentals are available. We hope to you at camp!

Sportsman Merit Badge Day — May 10, 2025

Scouts BSA

Scouts can select one merit badge being offered connected to sportsman activities to work on during this day. Depending on the merit badge, the Scout may be able to complete all requirements during this day or may need to communicate with their counselor to complete afterwards.

There is a cap of 15 Scouts per badge, so be sure to sign-up early.

Check-in starts at 8:30 AM, with closing at 4:30 PM. Lunch and merit badge supplies will be provided.

Badges include:

  • Archery
  • Climbing
  • Rifle Shooting
  • Shotgun Shooting
  • Sports

About Camp

Camp Workcoeman is located in the hills of northwest Connecticut in scenic New Hartford and Barkhamsted. The camp consists of approximately 427 acres on the shore of beautiful West Hill Pond, possibly the cleanest in Connecticut.

Established in 1924, it is one of the oldest continuously operated Scout camps in the country. For 100 years, thousands of Scouts and Scouters have had unforgettable Scouting experiences at Camp Workcoeman. This fine tradition of Scouting continues today.
