Spring Break Merit Badge Days: First Aid — April 18, 2024

Scouts BSA Past Event

Eagle required merit badge that provides instruction on caring for injured and ill persons until they can receive professional medical care.

This course is being offered at the reduced rate because it is being subsidized by the Camp Workcoeman Alumni Association.

Prerequisites:
Scouts must be able to demonstrate that they have current knowledge of all requirements for Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class First Aid Requirements (#1). Scouts must also bring a personal first aid kit (#5a) and a note from their Scoutmaster that they inspected their troop’s first aid kit (#5b).

Check-in starts at 8:30 AM, with closing at 5:00 PM. Lunch will be provided.

About Camp

Camp Workcoeman is located in the hills of northwest Connecticut in scenic New Hartford and Barkhamsted. The camp consists of approximately 427 acres on the shore of beautiful West Hill Pond, possibly the cleanest in Connecticut.

Established in 1924, it is one of the oldest continuously operated Scout camps in the country. For 100 years, thousands of Scouts and Scouters have had unforgettable Scouting experiences at Camp Workcoeman. This fine tradition of Scouting continues today.
