29 January 2023 — Registration for summer 2023 Scouts BSA programs is now open! Visit campworkcoeman.org/2023 for full details. Additional info will be added in the coming weeks.

4 December 2022 — A variety of day and weekend Scouting programs are planned for this winter and spring at Camp Workcoeman. These activities include both Scouts BSA and Cub Scout events as well as adult Scouter training opportunities.

SCUBA Certification and Merit Badge Program (Week 1) — July 3, 2023

This course is open to both youth and adults, and, through it, participants will earn SCUBA certification, with Scouts earning SCUBA Diving Merit Badge as well. This program includes all meals and materials.

Participants will be contacted by the Connecticut Scuba Academy beforehand with information on medical forms, pre-learning, and more. Participants can either come for the day or stay overnight; evening activities will be available for those staying overnight.

Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM each day

About Camp

Camp Workcoeman is located in the hills of northwest Connecticut in scenic New Hartford and Barkhamsted. The camp consists of approximately 427 acres on the shore of beautiful West Hill Pond, possibly the cleanest in Connecticut.

Established in 1924, it is one of the oldest continuously operated Scout camps in the country. For 99 years, thousands of Scouts and Scouters have had unforgettable Scouting experiences at Camp Workcoeman. This fine tradition of Scouting continues today.
