2017 Campsite Reservations

Now is the time to plan for the 2017 summer camp season. Wondering if your troop has registered? A list of the troops that have reserved campsites for the 2017 Workcoeman summer camp season is now posted at the bottom of the registration page. If your troop has yet to reserve a campsite, sign up today!

Reserve the Climbing Wall

Did you know that your unit can reserve Camp Workcoeman’s new Douglass Climbing Center for off-season use? The wall is available most weekends September to June, weather permitting. To reserve the wall, contact Paul McClain. Click here for more information.

Help Build a Campsite Pavilion

Make your campsite more enjoyable! Your unit can help contribute to and construct a campsite pavilion. Pavilions cost $2000; the project can be funded by one troop or split amongst other troops that use the campsite. An example pavilion was constructed this spring in the Tenderfoot’s Compass area behind the camp office. Click here for more information or contact Ranger Frank.

2016 Merit Badge Completion Day

The 2016 Merit Badge Completion Day will be held at camp on Saturday, September 10th beginning at 10 AM. The cost to attend is $15 and registration must be completed on the council website. About Camp

Camp Workcoeman is located in the hills of northwest Connecticut in scenic New Hartford and Barkhamsted. The camp consists of approximately 427 acres on the shore of beautiful West Hill Pond, possibly the cleanest in Connecticut.

Established in 1924, it is one of the oldest continuously operated Scout camps in the country. For 100 years, thousands of Scouts and Scouters have had unforgettable Scouting experiences at Camp Workcoeman. This fine tradition of Scouting continues today.
