14 Dec 2024 — Camp Workcoeman has a variety of programs taking place this winter and spring for both Scouts BSA and Cub Scouts. In addition, training opportunities and campsite/facility rentals are available. We hope to you at camp!>
Summer camp leader meetings are scheduled for Saturday, April 25th on Long Island and Saturdays, May 2nd and 30th at Camp Workcoeman. More information is available here.
All meetings are scheduled from 10:00–11:30 AM. These meetings are scheduled for your troop leadership to meet with key members of the camp staff and develop a program that meets your needs. You will also be given the procedure to submit merit badge selections. Your camp Scoutmaster and senior patrol leader are encouraged to attend ONE of these meetings.
You will also be given information regarding camp policies, medical forms, and related health information, as well as procedures for your Sunday arrival and check-in. At meetings at Workcoeman, a visit to your campsite is possible with a Camp Commissioner. Please verify your attendance by signing up online.
Camp Workcoeman is located in the hills of northwest Connecticut in scenic New Hartford and Barkhamsted. The camp consists of approximately 427 acres on the shore of beautiful West Hill Pond, possibly the cleanest in Connecticut.
Established in 1924, it is one of the oldest continuously operated Scout camps in the country. For 100 years, thousands of Scouts and Scouters have had unforgettable Scouting experiences at Camp Workcoeman. This fine tradition of Scouting continues today.
