COVID-19 Update

6 November 2020 — Per state Phase 2.1 guidelines, overnight camping has been suspended. Units in the Connecticut Rivers Council may continue day in-person activities in accordance with state guidance. Please see for full details.

2021 Cub Scout Winter/Spring Programs

Polar Cubs — Feburary 6, 2021

Calling all Polar Cubs for this exciting new adventure for Cubs and friends! Cubs will participate in fun activities in the morning with BB and archery in the afternoon. This program will run from 10 AM–4 PM and lunch will be provided. Indoor space will be available to warm up, but please dress for the weather. For check in, please bring a Health Form parts A-B as well as the COVID questionnaire.

Winter Cub Extravaganza — March 6, 2021

About Camp

Camp Workcoeman is located in the hills of northwest Connecticut in scenic New Hartford and Barkhamsted. The camp consists of approximately 427 acres on the shore of beautiful West Hill Pond, possibly the cleanest in Connecticut.

Established in 1924, it is one of the oldest continuously operated Scout camps in the country. For 97 years, thousands of Scouts and Scouters have had unforgettable Scouting experiences at Camp Workcoeman. This fine tradition of Scouting continues today.
