14 Apr 2024 — All pages of the camp website have been updated with info on the 2024 summer season, and registration is now open for all summer programs. The Scouts BSA Summer Program Guide is coming soon.

Citizens of Shawtown Work Day — February 15

UPDATE: The work day has been moved to Saturday, February 22, 2020.

Please join the Citizens of Shawtown on Saturday, February 1522, 2020 as they work to get an early start on prepping camp for another great season in 2020. Please join us for coffee and donuts at 8:30 AM with work commencing at 9:00 AM. Lunch will be provided. Please confirm attendance to either Ranger Frank or Brian Cornell. Members of the Citizens of Shawtown, their friends, and all others interested in helping are invited.

About Camp

Camp Workcoeman is located in the hills of northwest Connecticut in scenic New Hartford and Barkhamsted. The camp consists of approximately 427 acres on the shore of beautiful West Hill Pond, possibly the cleanest in Connecticut.

Established in 1924, it is one of the oldest continuously operated Scout camps in the country. For 100 years, thousands of Scouts and Scouters have had unforgettable Scouting experiences at Camp Workcoeman. This fine tradition of Scouting continues today.
